Mumbai has named a strong 18-member squad for their Ranji Trophy quarterfinal clash against Haryana, beginning February 8. The inclusion of India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube has added firepower to the squad as they gear up for a high-stakes encounter.

Star Duo Returns for Mumbai’s Knockout Push

Fresh from India’s 4-1 T20I series victory against England, both Suryakumar and Dube have rejoined Mumbai’s domestic campaign. Each of them has played one match in the team’s title defence this season.

“Their presence significantly strengthens the squad as Mumbai eyes another Ranji Trophy triumph,” a team official stated.

Road to the Quarterfinals

Mumbai stormed into the quarterfinals after a resounding innings-and-456-run victory over Meghalaya. They topped Elite Group A, with Jammu & Kashmir securing the other knockout spot from the group.

Key Highlights from the Season

  • Suryakumar Yadav featured in Mumbai’s clash against Maharashtra in October.
  • Shivam Dube played against Jammu & Kashmir, a match in which Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal also participated.
  • Mumbai now heads to Rohtak to take on Group C toppers Haryana at Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli.

Squad Additions & Fresh Faces

The team has also welcomed uncapped all-rounder Harsh Tanna, who has featured in four List A matches so far. His inclusion offers Mumbai additional depth and versatility.
