Shadab Khan Responds to Controversy Over Cricketers Messaging Female Actors

by satyam

Lahore: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has broken his silence on the ongoing debate regarding cricketers texting female actors. His remarks come after TikToker Shahtaj Khan alleged that she had communicated with him on WhatsApp and even proposed marriage before he tied the knot with Malaika Saqlain, daughter of former Pakistan cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq.

Shahtaj’s remarks about Shadab’s decision to marry a hijabi woman sparked social media outrage. Meanwhile, actress Nawal Saeed also hinted last year about receiving messages from cricketers but declined to comment further.

Shadab Defends Cricketers Messaging Actors

During an appearance on Geo News’ talk show “Hasna Mana Hai”, a fan asked Shadab about actors’ claims that cricketers often message them on social media.

“Even if cricketers send messages, what is wrong with that? Everybody has the option to block, so if you don’t like, then don’t reply,” Shadab said.

He also suggested that some actors respond positively but later exaggerate interactions for attention.

“Some actors reply too, and they appear to show interest as well—as if they want to talk. During big tournaments like the World Cup, these controversies come up because all eyes are on the players,” he added.

Shadab’s response has sparked mixed reactions, with some supporting his stance, while others believe that the issue needs to be addressed more seriously.
