AC Milan’s Dramatic Comeback Seals Thrilling 3-2 Victory Over Parma

AC Milan turned their fortunes around in dramatic fashion on Sunday, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory over Parma in Serie A, thanks to two last-gasp goals in stoppage time. With what seemed like Enrico Delprato’s winner for Parma in the dying moments, Milan managed to snatch all three points through goals from Tijjani Reijnders and Samuel Chukwueze, sending the San Siro into a state of jubilation after a tense and frustrating match.

Milan’s Victory Lifts Them to Sixth Place

The dramatic turnaround lifted Milan to sixth place, just five points behind Lazio in fourth. Milan’s victory could prove crucial as they prepare for a busy week, with a Champions League showdown against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday, where they will be aiming for direct qualification to the last 16. This is followed by a highly anticipated local derby against Inter Milan next weekend.

“We showed the right mentality, fighting until the end. The way we changed this game was crazy. It was important to get back on track, and now we need to continue like this,” said Reijnders, reflecting on the thrilling comeback.

Chukwueze and Reijnders’ Last-Minute Heroics

Chukwueze’s scrappy finish in the 93rd minute injected a much-needed boost into the game and completely shifted the atmosphere at the San Siro. Reijnders had earlier equalized in the 91st minute with a beautifully threaded pass from Yunus Musah, setting the stage for a dramatic finale.

Despite Parma’s valiant performance, Milan managed to stay focused and rallied to claim the win.

“A defeat at San Siro is always tough, but we can take a lot of positives from this performance for the future,” said Parma’s coach Fabio Pecchia, acknowledging his team’s effort.

Frustration Turned Jubilation at San Siro

The match had been on the verge of frustration for Milan supporters, particularly after Parma’s Delprato found the back of the net in the 80th minute following a rebound. Milan fans had turned their anger towards the club’s management, ironically clapping in frustration, as ultras displayed their discontent with the American owners, RedBird.

However, Milan’s resilience showed through, and their dramatic late comeback injected hope for the remainder of their season.

Looking Ahead: Busy Week for AC Milan

With the Champions League knockout stages in sight and a local derby against Inter Milan on the horizon, Milan’s victory could be a significant morale booster as they continue their quest for success on multiple fronts.
